Kind Country
Kind music for kind people.
Kind Country is a Jamgrass band playing American standards as well as their own brand of Cosmic American music. Since their formation in 2012, the band has focused creating live performances with high levels of improvisation and energy gathering with a goal of creating a moment of musical bliss that can be shared by audience members and band alike.
Jaedyn James is the lead of the eight piece ‘Raw Funk & Aggressive Soul’ band, The Hunger.  Consumed by her passion at 23 years old, James quit her full time job and assembled a group of musicians based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.  JJ‘s work ethic, energy, and music reflect the stylings of James Brown, Etta James, Lucille Ball, Marina Abromovich, and ee cummings. The combination of a powerful, modern woman using vintage sounds and attitudes is not only refreshing, but cause to celebrate.

“A young, high-energy, soulful belter who’s part Irma Thomas and Amy Winehouse with a groovy funk ’n’ soul big band akin to Sonny Knight’s Lakers, they’re touting the release of a new EP, “Outright,” which shows off their impressive range in just three songs, from the down-and-out title track to the aptly named blaster “Killin’ It.”

The Heavy Set

The Heavy Set is a Minneapolis rock band rooted in blues and alt-country, pushing Americana to its harder edges. The heart- felt songwriting of Jake Ilika gets a grindstone treatment in The Heavy Set with guitar-forward echoes of Crazy Horse and Ryan Adams. Their third record, “The Highway & The Moon”, drives their sound harder and into new expanses with a genre-bending collection of songs.
Collapsing Stars
Collapsing Stars
Named a top 100 SXSW Artist by NPR Music in 2018, Twin Cities based Collapsing Stars have been steadily making a name for themselves throughout the American west. Blending folk, blues and Americana sounds with a hint of modernity, comparisons range from Iron & Wine and the Lumineers, to the Black Keys and Ben Harper. In the last few years they’ve earned producer credits on a record for Rhymesayers Entertainment (Atmosphere, Brother Ali, deM atlaS), played a showcase at the renowned Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles, and in 2016 performed for over 120K people at Red Bull Crashed Ice. Their debut record titled ‘2012’ has received noteworthy accolades including praise from Dan Wilson, the Semisonic frontman who has co-written songs for the Dixie Chicks, John Legend, Weezer, and Adele’s 2011 hit Someone Like You. In 2018 they were named a top 100 SXSW artist by NPR Music out of 2000 showcasing acts. They’re currently on tour to promote their full length album titled ‘2012.’
